It’s been 84 years…

(Just taking the time to write this, before I forget or get swept up in the next immediate task on my never-ending To Do List, because I’m tired.  I’m exhausted.  I am so so tired.  I’m sure you can relate.)

I was just writing a friend about how palpable the tension in the air is, right now.  No one is safe from this.  No one is above reproach.  It’s been a hard year for everyone on the planet.  Harder for some than others, for sure.  I don’t need to give you a laundry list of reasons to be nice or why 2020 has been a maelstrom of insanity, but I do urge you to err on the side of compassion and integrity before you speak, write or post.  Sometimes you can’t unring a bell.  You can’t take words back.  Think before taking action.  Sit with your feelings.  We are all exhausted.  We are all confused.  We are all a little angry (regardless of our political leanings).  Practice the Golden Rule and take care of yourself first.  You can not pour from an empty cup, which is to say you can’t give that which you don’t have.  That is all.  Just thought I’d share while inspired to do so.

Wishing you the best end to your 2020,

xx km
